Blackhawks vs. Lightning Prediction: Tuesday, January 28th

If you think you are having deja vu it’s probably because you are! I wrote up a meeting between these two teams just a few days ago and got burned but this time around the Lightning are on home ice and the edge is gigantic! 

For starters the Lightning are one of the league’s best at home with a record of 15-6-1 overall but they also score 3.77 goals per game which is the 3rd highest rate in the NHL. They also have a brick wall behind them in Andrei Vasilevskiy who is 15-5-1 on home ice this season with a 2.05 GAA and .931 SV%! 

Put those two things together and you can see why it’s a smash spot for the Lightning. On the other end are the Blackhawks who we fade routinely and for good reason as they have lost 7 straight on the road coming into tonight and are 5-15-3 overall. 

They score just 2.35 goals per game and allow 3.43 on the defensive end so it could get really ugly here tonight. To top it off Chicago is 10-13 ATS on the road this season so let’s fire up the Lightning on the Puck Line tonight!
