Falcons vs. Eagles Same Game Parlay For FanDuel Sportsbook

Now that we’ve primed the pump with two Profit Boost Tokens, it’s time to pick the parlay that will produce these profits.

Here are each of the legs that will form our Falcons vs. Eagles SGP.

Jahan Dotson 2+ receptions (-330) at FanDuel Sportsbook

This one is gross, especially after Dotson’s Week 1 goose-egg against the Packers. But the simple fact is that there are going to be tons of targets available tonight with A.J. Brown out, and Dotson is virtually guaranteed to see some volume.

Brown opened the 2024 campaign by punishing the Packers, putting together a 5-catch performance (on 10 targets) for 119 yards and a touchdown. These are world-class numbers produced by a world-class talent whose production simply can’t be replaced.

 

 

 

Conversely, Dotson played 30 snaps against the Packers and didn’t record a catch. He was targeted once.

For all intents and purposes, Dotson has been a bust. Selected by Washington as the 16th pick in the 2022 draft, Dotson totaled 84 catches for 1,041 yards in 29 games for the Commanders. He surpassed 60 yards receiving in only five of his 26 starts. Woof.

All said, I’m not interested in Dotson’s yardage totals. I just can’t stomach them. More importantly, I don’t know exactly how he’ll be used tonight. He will be used a lot though, and that’s why I’m locking in some low-hanging fruit with this first leg of our Falcons vs. Eagles SGP. One way or another, Dotson will deliver 2+ catches tonight.

 

 


 

Saquon Barkley 3+ receptions (-146) at FanDuel Sportsbook

As with the previous pick, this is a very volume-related play. Barkley’s pass-catching abilities out of the backfield have never been questioned. For his career, the former #2 overall pick has averaged 3.9 receptions per game on 5.3 targets.

Not only is Brown out for the Eagles, but DeVonta Smith will likely be shadowed by Atlanta’s top CB A.J. Terrell. Smith worked out of the slot a lot in Week 1, but I don’t think he’ll escape the defensive gameplan unscathed and will have a long, difficult night trying to create separation.

 

 

 

A woeful WR Room combined with a tough matchup for your top receiver means Checkdown City. I wouldn’t doubt Barkley hits this number on designed screens alone. Regardless, it's a solid, confident play and thus is my second leg in tonight's Atlanta vs. Philadelphia SGP.

 

 

Bijan Robinson 60+ yards rushing (-160) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Robinson's total rushing attempts prop is set at just 14.5 carries. I would be smashing over 14.5 carries into this SGP if I were allowed, but alas, that particular prop can not be parlayed at FanDuel. Massive volume in a friendly MNF matchup means he'll rack up stats elsewhere, which leads me to his alt total of 60+ rushing yards.

In Week 1, Robinson was on the field for 89% of the Falcons snaps and touched the ball 23 times. This volume came despite Atlanta only accruing 226 total yards of offense and having a tiny 24:24 time of possession. This offense might struggle for stretches this season, but it’s certainly not going to be as stinky as it was against the Steelers.

 

 

 

Against the Packers, Philadelphia was gashed for an average of 6.5 yards per carry. The Eagles were mediocre at best against the run in 2023 and look like they’re no better off at the beginning of this season. Robinson should have a monster workload and put up comparably monster numbers. I have multiple legs I need to hit here though, so I’ll take a modest discount on his alt line and lock in 60+ rushing yards as the next leg in my Falcons vs. Eagles FanDuel Same Game Parlay.
 

 

 

BONUS BET FOR THE BOLD

Ray-Ray McCloud to record a 20+ yard reception (+210) at FanDuel Sportsbook

The 3-leg SGP laid out to this point has a +360 payout after we apply our 50% Profit Boost Token. I'd recommend we take those winnings and go. If it were SGP Insurance, that'd change things. 

Nonetheless, I like this pick enough to write it up. So for those of you who want to get weird, you're welcome to finalize your Falcons vs. Eagles SGP with a fourth leg that puts the payout at a titillating +1286.  

To this point of his career, Ray-Ray McCloud has been limited to roles in gadget packages and as a return specialist. The start of the 2024 season has seen the exact opposite. 

McCloud not only won the starting slot receiver job, but spearheaded their aerial attack in Week 1. While it was a weak offensive showing for the team overall, McCloud was a bright spot. He led Atlanta in receiving yards (52) and targets (7) as a near-crippled Kirk Cousins struggled to move the ball downfield. (Or do much of anything else, really.)

 

 

 

The past few seasons, the Eagles have consistently been one of the worst teams at defending slot receivers. That looks to be the case in 2024 as well. Green Bay WR Jayden Reed caught four passes for 138 yards and a TD in last week's opener. It's how Reed did this that's especially interesting for our SGP purposes.

Reed had catches of 9, 26, 33 and 70 yards.

He ALSO scored on a 33-yard jet sweep, AND had a 38-yard touchdown reception nullified by a penalty for too many men on the field. It was a laughably lovely performance for anyone playing him in fantasy.

Back to McCloud now. The sixth-year-pro is in the league for his big-play ability. Atlanta appears to be the first team to proactively put the ball in his hands on offense, and the early results were encouraging. He should remain heavily involved again tonight, and I'm thinking he turns at least one of those touches into a reception of 20+ yards.
