Oklahoma City Thunder: Learning To Live Again

The Thunder wobbled for a few games after losing their young superstar Chet Holmgren. They are Learning to Live Again, and in a big way. The Thunder have the best record in the Western Conference with 13-4 and have a +11.3-point differential. Best in the Western Conference, and second best in the NBA.

They are led with their defense, which allows an average of 103.9 points per game. That is the second fewest in the NBA, and best in the Western Conference, which makes today’s total a bit odd.

Afterall the Thunder are favorites, which should imply a lower total. Perhaps the algorithms have them scoring more than their usual points, but their defense should still be expected to play well.

Golden State Warriors: Still They Ride

The Golden State Warriors are having a resurgence in the dynasty. Several may have had them written off, but Still They Ride. Led by a future Hall of Fame Head Coach, the Warriors are second in the Western Conference, behind only their opponent today, the Oklahoma City Thunder.

A lineup that looks much different than years past is still producing at a high level. The Warriors are 9-3 against the conference and have a 5-2 record at the Chase Center this season. They also have a great chance to win today’s game.

Thunder vs. Warriors Predictions & Picks Today: Wednesday, 11/27

Anytime the two best teams of a conference collide, it should be entertaining basketball. Particularly when there is only 1 game difference between their records.

It should be a competitive game in which momentum swings back and forth between good offense, and great defense.

Thunder vs. Warriors Prediction: Total Under 230 (-110 on BetMGM)

It is difficult to know which team will win this game, and it is difficult to know which player besides Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will step up offensively for the Thunder. Curry is Day-to-Day and betting on his props seems risky, meanwhile Gilgeous-Alexander’s point prop is so high that a bad night would be difficult to overcome. However betting against him is not wise either.

That is why under 230 points is suggested. The Thunder have the best defense in the conference, and the Warriors will look to match it with tough, aggressive defense as well. Curry can still go on a 17-point quarter run which makes any under against him a risk.

However, the Thunder have proven for two years that they will allow their defense to dominate the game and pull away in the fourth quarter. Put a unit on them to keep this game below 230 points tonight.
