We’ve got all the latest information you need to nail your Pelicans vs. Heat predictions on Friday, March 22. Thanks to our full analysis, injury report & betting preview, you’ll be dialed into the action tonight in the best way possible!

Both the New Orleans Pelicans and Miami Heat are squarely in playoff spots, but they could each improve their seeding from here on out. It goes without saying, but each game is going to be extremely important down the stretch for both teams. Tonight perfectly fits that bill - meaning we should see an intense, exciting matchup!

Here’s our full Pelicans vs. Heat prediction, including an injury report as well as our expert picks & best bets.

Pelicans vs. Heat Prediction & Picks: Friday, 3/22

At face value, it'd be quite peculiar that the Pelicans are considered underdogs for tonight's game. But with the news that Brandon Ingram will be sidelined for at least 2 weeks, New Orleans will be playing on the second leg of a back-to-back without one of their primary scorers.

However, the Heat have an even greater number of players out, including Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson and Kevin Love. Starting center Bam Adebayo is questionable due to back pain. If he sits, the hosts will once again be short-handed and Miami’s list of inactives will put the New Orleans Pelicans injury report to shame.

The Pelicans have won more games on the road (22-14) than at home (20-13) this season. Meanwhile, the Heat have a lower winning percentage at home (17-15) than when they’re travelling. (21-16). So there isn’t a significant split here as far as homecourt advantage is concerned.

Tonight, the visitor’s strong frontcourt could pose challenges for the depleted Heat defense. For the season, the Pelicans score an average of six more points per game than the Heat, so I expect them to still have the offensive advantage tonight - even without Ingram.

The numbers just don't seem to add up, which is why my Pelicans vs. Heat prediction will confidently side with the Pelicans. Ultimately, the expectation is that the better and healthier (relatively speaking) team will emerge victorious tonight. The plus odds make it all the more favorable.

New Orleans Pelicans Injury Report + Brandon Ingram Update

Brandon Ingram had an MRI scan following the hyperextension of his left knee that was sustained in the third quarter of the Pelicans last game yesterday. The MRI results showed a contusion on his left knee bone.

Ingram's condition will be reassessed in two weeks, but it at least appears that he avoided major damage for the time being. The only other player on the Pelicans injury report is guard Dyson Daniels, who has been and will continue to be out with a knee injury.

Heat Injury Report: Bam Adebayo Questionable
