The Boston Celtics host the Milwaukee Bucks at TD Garden tonight.

The first game on ESPN should be a thriller, as the two best Eastern Conference teams this decade meet on the court. Hopefully all players participate today, and the game lives up to the hype.

Milwaukee Bucks: Bye Bye Blues

The Milwaukee Bucks are on an impressive run, they have won eight of their last ten games and have moved into fifth place in the Eastern Conference. They have also clinched a spot in the NBA Cup tournament, but have a tough test against the Celtics tonight.

This isn’t a statement game, but is a flex game. Which Milwaukee Bucks team will show up is the question. The NBA Cup 4-0 version or the team that has lost six of nine road games. With it being Giannis Antetokounmpo’s birthday, perhaps we get the best out of the Bucks tonight.

Boston Celtics: Soul-Crusher

The Boston Celtics are approaching 20 wins on the season and are favored tonight by eight points. The Eastern Conference appears to have more top end talent, as the top four teams are more competitive than last year. However, Boston is still the team to take down as reigning NBA Champions.

The Celtics are 9-2 at home this season, and it is still difficult to win in Boston regardless of the opponent. Jayson Tatum is expected to be back, which should give them a boost against an all-star tandem.

Bucks vs. Celtics Predictions & Picks Today: Friday, 12/6

The Celtics should win this game, but an 8-point spread against one of the best tandems in the NBA is flirting with disaster.

For that reason, we look at a player prop on another elite player.

Bucks vs. Celtics Prediction: Jayson Tatum Over 3.5 Threes Made (-120 on DraftKings Sportsbook)

Jayson Tatum sat out the Boston Celtics most recent game and should be well rested for this potential Eastern Conference Finals preview. The Celtics’ spread line has moved from 6.5 points to 8 points, and Tatum over 3.5 threes made has been juiced from -110 to -120.

He has made 4 or more threes in six of his last nine games played, and with a heavy spread he should be attempting several again tonight. The addition of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez defending the paint make scoring from the perimeter a more reasonable option. Put a unit on Tatum to light it up from the three line tonight.
