Today's Best MLB Prop Bets: Wednesday, April 3, 2024

MLB Prop Bet: Bryan Reynolds Over 1.5 Total Bases (+110 at FanDuel)

With a .231 ISO and a .354 wOBA through this current season plus dating back to last year, Bryan Reynolds will be facing Trevor Williams of the Nationals tonight. Williams, a righty, had a .209 ISO and a .377 wOBA against left-handed batters last year. 

Although this will be Williams' first start of the season, he had a strikeout rate of only 13.1% against lefties last year and allowed 26.3% of fly balls with approximately 40% of ground balls.

Reynolds, on the other hand, has shown impressive performance between this year and last. He has hit 33.1% of fly balls and line drives and made solid contact with 54.4% of his hits. Given these statistics, it feels like it’ll be worth trying your luck with Reynolds tonight.

 

 

 

MLB Prop Bet: Logan Allen Under 4.5 Strikeouts (+130 at FanDuel)

The Mariners have a 3-3 record so far this season, but their offense has been struggling. They have a low team WOBA of .255 and a high strikeout rate of 31.4%. Many are betting on pitchers to strike them out. 

However, when looking at their performance against left-handed pitchers, they have a better track record. The Mariners have a lower strikeout rate against lefties this season and historically. I believe the Mariners will perform well against Guardians lefty Logan Allen, who tends to allow more contact. 

With George Kirby pitching for the Mariners, I expect a strong start to the game. Betting on the Mariners against a left-handed pitcher could lead to some good odds due to Allen's potential lack of strikeouts.
